CHAIR PEGGY WILSON convened the meeting of the House Health,
Education and Social Services Standing Committee at 3:06 p.m.
Representatives Wilson, Wolf, Coghill, and Seaton were present
at the call to order.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
STEVE PRYSUNKA, Founder and Organizer, Crossings Wilderness
Expeditions for Youth ("Crossings"), Wrangell, gave a
presentation describing the youth program Crossings. The
presentation described the policies, practices, and mission of
Crossings. Also, the presentation described similar programs in
other states, and what the State of Alaska could to do assist
the Crossings program. The presentation also described the
importance of Crossings and its effectiveness for troubled
youth.

The committee took no action.

There being no further business before the committee, the House
Health, Education and Social Services committee meeting was
adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
